a place to breathe, to be, to begin again
Welcome to The Bodhi House
The Bodhi House is a space to return to your true self through meditation and sangha (community). Tucked away in Galveston, this backyard sanctuary was created for stillness, simplicity, and honest presence. Here, we gather together for meditation and insight. Whether you’re just beginning or have walked the path for years, you’re welcome to join us.
No pressure. No performance. Just presence.

Find Your Peace at The Bodhi House
At The Bodhi House you’ll find Tibetan prayer flags dancing in the wind, a fountain peacefully trickling nearby, meditation cushions under a shaded and mosquito netted cabana, and the gentle rhythm of breath shared in guided meditation. This is a place to rest, return, and reconnect with your deepest self, remembering who we really are beneath the noise.

I created The Bodhi House because, truthfully, I needed a space like this for myself. A place to sit down, slow down, and reconnect with what is real. My hope is that when you join us, whether in person or online, you feel that same sense of quiet belonging and reconnection.

Where is The Bodhi House located?
The Bodhi House is in Galveston, TX, right in Rick’s backyard. It’s a simple and peaceful space with a Buddha statue, hanging Tibetan prayer flags, a shaded covering enclosed with mosquito netting, and the soft sound of a fountain. (We also gather online, so you’re welcome to join from anywhere.)
Can I join online?
Yes, if you’re not local or just prefer to sit from home, you can join the live Zoom sessions. Just let us know you’re interested by emailing Rick at [email protected], and we’ll send the details.
What should I bring to a meditation session?
We recommend bringing a comfortable cushion or mat, a water bottle, and an open mind. Dress in loose, comfortable clothing to enhance your meditation experience.
